So I was sitting around this evening, as you do, thinking “I should listen to some contemporary metal stuff, not just the old bands I already know I like..”

But where am I to find metal bands that do what I want them to do? So many times, I read reviews and general hype blather on terrifying underground metal bands that sound like just the kinda thing I’d enjoy, look ‘em up, and think, no, sorry, I just can’t get with this, I’m gonna listen to Bolt Thrower instead.

Well turns out I’ve been a RIGHT DOPE for ignoring Kylesa for so long, just cos they seem too semi-mainstream or indie-acceptable or whatever, because this certainly does what I want metal to do.

It is kinda slightly on the uplifting/fist-pounding/stadium-friendly end of things but, y’know… who fucking cares - it hits the spot.
