This poster, while completely awesome, is a bit misleading, as is the title (there’s no witch in this film), but if you’re down for 70s bummerism you’re in for a treat. It’s like looking into a strange mirror-world where everything works by slightly different laws, and there’s an effective use of a limited budget that reminds me a bit of Messiah of Evil. Good film, but maybe not your best date night choice.

we sat there with our jaws dropped for a lot of this film. i can’t recommend it enough, actually, as long as you’re in the mood to be bummed out. so weird, so insane, and there are kids named tadd and tripoli in it. no bloody scythes, however.

I’ve got a copy of this one I’m waiting for the right moment to watch… kinda get the feeling that I’ll really like it… but at the same time I’m rarely in the mood to be bummed out.
